                Echota Cherokee -  " Ron Warren "

Ron Warren is a NAMA nominated composer/arranger as well as a performer on both Native American flutes and keyboards. His works in a wide range of media have been heard in important venues throughout the United States and Europe. The Washington Post has praised his “pensively evocative music” as well as his “expressive and highly energetic” performances. Ron’s work has been supported by numerous organizations and ensembles, including the American Composers Forum, Meet the Composer, Inc., American Indian Heritage Education Association (AIHEA) and the Contemporary Music Forum.
He has quickly emerged as one of the most versatile and dynamic Native American flute players in the country. He has recently performed on both flutes and keyboards with renowned world musicians such as Joseph Fire Crow, Coyote Oldman, Ash Dargan, Jeff Ball, Peter Phippen, Mary Youngblood and R.C. Nakai. Ron was the first Native American flutist to perform at the Inter-American Development Cultural Center in Washington, DC, has been featured on Montgomery County Television, has recently performed and been a featured composer at the National Museum of the American Indian as well as performing for Pope Benedict XI at the Nationals Ballpark , both in Washington DC.

Madison County Indian Education Center Festival  - May 1, 2009 (one day event for the children) public is welcome - Sharon Johnston Park

Oakville Indian Mounds and Education Center (Lawrence County, Al)  May 14-17, 2009.  This is a large event-childrens day on Thursday and Friday, open to public all 4 days. 

Clarksville Tennessee Pow Wow - October 10 & 11, at the Port Royal State Park in Clarksville, Tennessee

Echota Cherokee Inc. Pow Wow  - October 16 - 18, 2009.  This Pow Wow will also be held at Oakville Indian Mounds and Education Center

American Indian Festival - Dothan Civic Center - November 21, 2009  5:00 PM till 10:00 PM
